Beautiful Music: Your Hormones & Balance

September 11, 2019
A symphony orchestra is made up of many instruments that when put together correctly creates beautiful music. Your endocrine system, much like a symphony, must work together for your body to feel, act and look your best. Your hormones are designed to work together, and your body was built to heal. When your sex hormone levels are deficient and/or unbalanced, it messes up the balance of the rest of your hormones. Did you know that 3,500 - 6,000 women enter menopause every day in the United States? [1] Menopause occurs when a woman has no natural menstrual cycle or period for 12 months. It can be the best time in a woman’s life, the worst or somewhere in-between. Most women no longer worry about pregnancy and still feel good to be sexually interested. The New Sweet Spot Many of us agree that we're staying at lot younger & healthier and the new middle age is now 60 - or is it? If your hormones are unbalanced, you might have symptoms 2-20 years earlier than normal. (Often called peri-menopause.) In peri-menopause, you might have a cycle, but they may become more and more irregular. Bleeding changes; and unpredictable symptoms can pop up and change your quality of life. Every woman’s body is unique and the symptoms of both peri-menopause and menopause are just as different. Again, while some women may have no symptoms at all, others may have symptoms so severe that it disrupts their quality of life and puts their health, job, marriage and close relationships at risk. Remember  just like your fingerprints, each person’s response to unbalanced hormones is different.
