The P-Shot, also known as the Priapus shot for men, was developed by Dr. Charles Runels, MD, in response to several common erectile dysfunction issues. These include low libido, decreased ability to orgasm, pain during intercourse, damage from injury to the penis shaft, and reduced size due to age or low testosterone. Patients report better orgasms, better erections, and improved sexual satisfaction overall.
How does the P-Shot® work?
The P-Shot uses PRP (platelet-rich plasma) from your own blood, which contains special cells that help repair and stimulate tissues. This method has been used in the medical field for many years in aesthetics and sports medicine, helping athletes recover from injuries.
What to Expect During Your P-Shot® Procedure?
The P-Shot® procedure is a straightforward process designed to help improve certain conditions like erectile dysfunction (ED). Here’s what you can expect:
- Blood Draw: First, a small amount of blood will be taken from your arm—just like when you get a regular blood test.
- Platelet Preparation: The blood is placed in a special machine called a centrifuge. This machine spins the blood really fast to separate out the platelets and growth factors, which are the parts of your blood that help with healing and tissue repair.
- Numbing the Area: To make sure you feel little to no discomfort, the provider will apply a numbing cream or give a local anesthetic to the area where the injection will go.
- The Injection: Once everything is ready, the provider will carefully inject the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into specific areas of your penis. The whole injection process is quick and usually takes just a few minutes.
- Recovery: Afterward, there’s minimal downtime, so you can go back to your normal activities soon after.
Many people report feeling more confident and noticing improvements in their condition after the procedure.
